Please tell us something about yourself.

Tell us how you started playing pickleball.

A friend introduced me to pickleball just when we were vaccinated for covid, we first started playing on tennis courts with beginner paddles. After being kicked off the tennis courts many times, we decided to try Foster City pickleball courts. We were very excited the first day playing there, as we met many experienced players, that we become addicted to the game and wanted to improve our game. It’s been 1 ½ years and I am still trying to get better.

Where is the best or most interesting place you played pickleball?

The most interesting place was in Cancun Mexico, we played at RiU Resorts on their tennis courts in very hot and humid weather.

Why did you become a member of Foster City Pickleball Club?

I joined Foster City Pickleball Club because I love the people who play there and I was so motivated by Jason’s dedication and commitment to pickleball and the club, I just wanted to be part of the club.

Tell us how you started playing pickleball.

I played pickleball years ago at the California Physical Education workshops and a little at school. I really started to get into the sport about one and a half years ago when I started to play with our coaches at school. One of our coaches mentioned that he played at Foster City. I went one Saturday morning to check it out. I got on a court with some really good players who were very nice, but I knew I was over my head. That experience motivated me to practice and play and I really loved the learning and playing part of it. It was a real life changer to get to play pickleball.

Where is the best or most interesting place you played pickleball?

I’ve played at a couple of cool places in Florida. Jet Park and Mooney Park. I also enjoyed playing at the Pismo Beach Athletic Club.

Why did you become a member of Foster City Pickleball Club?

First is, I love the people at Foster City. Lori, Lorraine, Sandy, and so many others have been so kind to me when I was learning how to play. FC has a great community of people who drill and try to get better at playing this great sport. When I go up to Foster City at 7:00am most weekends there are already groups of people drilling, practicing, and playing and we kind of have this morning club where we all know each other. Almost every time I play at Foster City I have a good experience. I like being part of a group of people who have a common interest!
